OK, so I am not a lawyer but the privacy policy is very simple, I don't collect any information, there is no tracking either on the web site or in Readerware itself. Any information you voluntarily provide is confidential and it will never be sold, shared, traded or in any way divulged to any third party. The details: The Readerware Web Site: The Readerware web site does not use cookies. When you signup for the Readerware newsletter the e-mail address you provide will only be used for distribution of the newsletter. The newsletter distribution list is private, it will never be sold, shared, traded or in any way divulged to any third party. When you register Readerware using either PayPal or RegSoft, the payment service sends basic contact info only, no credit card numbers. Again this information is private, it will never be sold, shared, traded or in any way divulged to any third party. The e-mail address you provide during registration is used to send you a key to unlock the software, nothing else. You will not even receive update notifications at this address, you will need to "opt in" and sign up for the Readerware Newsletter. The Readerware Software: The Readerware software does not track your usage, not the books you scan, not the sites you visit, nothing. The Readerware database is stored locally on your machine, this is your private data. None of this data ever leaves your machine. Readerware supports cookies because they are necessary to access many sites. These sites may be using cookies to track your visits to their site. You will need to consult the privacy policies for individual sites. So to summarize, Readerware tracks nothing, any information you provide is strictly confidential. To me all software should work this way, unfortunately it is not the case. Many software products do track your usage and transmit this information to others, the songs you play, the bar codes you scan etc. Readerware does not. If you have any questions about the privacy policy or the way the software works, please do not hesitate to contact me. Send e-mail to support@readerware.com
