You can install the Readerware apps from the Google Play Store:

RW4 - Books
RW4 - Music
RW4 - Video

You will also need Readerware 3.25 or greater installed on your computer, Windows, Mac OS X or Linux.

There are two ways to transfer your database to your Android device:

Network Sync:

  • Start Readerware on your computer, select the Preferences menu item, then Mobile
  • If Mobile preferences are disabled, you need to upgrade to Readerware Mobile Edition
  • Make sure that the Network Sync option is enabled. If you make any changes on the page click OK so that they are applied and then redisplay the page so that your IP address is available. Readerware may display multiple IP addresses, if the first doesn't work, try the others.
  • Start Readerware on your Android device
  • Select the Database menu item
  • Choose the Connect button
  • Enter the IP address you saw in Readerware Mobile preferences into the first input field, the port number goes into the second input field, normally you can use the default port number
  • Touch the Connect button to start the transfer
  • When it completes, touch Done and your database will be displayed

Import:

  • Start Readerware on your computer.
  • Select File->Export
  • Choose the Readerware Mobile format, click Next
  • Click on Browse and select the folder where you want the file created. Your Documents->Readerware folder is a good choice.
  • Complete the wizard
  • Connect your Android device via the USB cable
  • Your device should appear as a portable device or hard drive
  • Drag & drop the file you created earlier onto the device, the Doiwnload folder is a good location to choose.
  • Start Readerware on your Android device
  • Select the Database menu item
  • Choose Import
  • Touch the Select button and select the file you just copied to your Android device
  • Touch the Import button to start the import
  • When it completes, touch Done and your database will be displayed
