Download Readerware 4 Beta 3 for Mac OS X (Legacy)
The Readerware downloads on this page are for older versions of Mac OS X, 10.6-10.7 on Intel Macs. Most users will want to download our main macOS version.
Readerware 4 will not run on PowerPC machines and requires Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6) or better.
When upgrading to Readerware 4, do not drag your current Readerware 4 applications to the trash can. The new version will install alongside Readerware 3. Once you have your databases converted and everything running in Readerware 4, you can optionally remove Readerware 3.
Installation Instructions
Readerware is distributed as a drive image. Mount the drive and drag the Readerware applications to your Applications folder. Instructions are included in the distribution.

Minimum System Requirements
The minimum system requirements will depend on which version of Mac OS X you are running.
Mac OS X Yosemite (10.10):
- Yosemite supported Intel Mac computer
- 2 GB of RAM or higher.
- At least 90 MB of free disk space
Mac OS X Mavericks (10.9):
- Mavericks supported Intel Mac computer
- 2 GB of RAM or higher.
- At least 50 MB of free disk space
Mac OS X Mountain Lion (10.8):
- Mountain lion supported Intel Mac computer
- 2 GB of RAM or higher.
- At least 50 MB of free disk space
Mac OS X Lion (10.7):
- Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
- 2 GB of RAM or higher.
- At least 50 MB of free disk space
Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6):
- Mac computer with an Intel processor
- 1 GB of RAM or higher.
- At least 50 MB of free disk space
