Welcome to the Readerware® Newsletter
A short newsletter this time. We had been planning the next issue around the release of Readerware Mobile for the iPhone and iPad. In the end it all happened a little faster than we had anticipated and we were not quite ready when the apps suddenly appeared in the iTunes app store.
We know that a lot of you are waiting for this so we wanted to get the word out right away.
Plus a new version of Readerware Mobile for Android.
Readerware Mobile is now available for the iPhone and iPad
Head on over to the iTunes app store to download Readerware Mobile for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Readerware Mobile requires iOS 4.3 or later. The apps are optimized for iPhone 5.
You can follow the link below or simply fire up the App Store app on your iOS device and search for Readerware.
You can learn all about Readerware Mobile for iOS in the online help.
If you currently have Readerware Mobile Edition or Readerware Client/Server Edition you are all set. If you currently have Readerware Standard Edition you will need to upgrade to Readerware Mobile Edition in order to sync your database to your device. The cost is $10.00 and you can order from the link below. Select the Readerware Mobile Upgrade from the list. There is no charge to download the Readerware apps from the iTunes store.
I want to thank all of the beta testers who helped us get Readerware Mobile ready. If you have the beta version installed you should install the release version. Install it as normal and the release version will replace the beta version.
We are already working on the next version of Readerware Mobile, more details in the next newsletter.
Readerware Mobile for Android Beta
Readerware Mobile for Android has been completely rewritten and is now available as a beta version. We are looking for feedback on the new version prior to making it generally available in the Google Play Store.
If you would like to get a look at the new version of Readerware Mobile for Android you can download it from the web site using the link below. If you currently have the release version installed, you should uninstall it first. You can always switch back to the release version later if you want.
To install the Readerware Mobile for Android beta click on the link below using the browser on your Android device.
If you are a current user you shouldn't have any problems finding your way around the new version. There is one important change though. If you use the connect function to sync your database over the network, you must choose the iOS option in Readerware preferences on your desktop. Moving forward all versions will be using the same synchronization technology.

Readerware support
There is nothing more important than responding to your questions and feedback. You can always e-mail support@readerware.com and expect a prompt reply. You will receive a reply within 12 hours maximum, normally a lot sooner. Unfortunately e-mail communications are not as reliable as they once were. Spam and the various schemes people have dreamed up to combat spam are interfering with normal e-mail communications.
If you have not received a response to your support request within 12 hours, something has gone wrong.
- Check any Spam or message filters, the response may be there.
- Check with your ISP or system administrator. Sites are implementing various defense mechanisms which often block legitimate e-mail.
- If you are using a challenge system, please check to see if your response is being held. We do try and respond to challenge e-mail, but it can mean your response is delayed.
If you have not received a response within 12 hours, don't wait any longer, send a follow up e-mail. If possible try and include an alternate e-mail address. We will re-send your answer from another e-mail server to all addresses you specify.
Obviously Spam is a real problem, but it is important to realize that none of the defense mechanisms are anywhere near 100% accurate. There is nothing more frustrating for you than feeling ignored, you aren't being ignored.
All support e-mail is answered within 12 hours, if you don't get that response, check your anti-spam measures and try again.
